Flash Flood Warnings cancelled in SE Michigan; storms possible later today

DETROIT – Flash Flood Warning issued for Genesee, Lapeer, Macomb and St. Clair have been cancelled.

LIVE: Michigan Weather Radar

Scattered storms are possible later today, but I don’t expect anything close to what we’re seeing early this morning.

It remains warm and very humid.  Highs today should reach the mid to upper 80s (30-31 degrees Celsius), with the humidity making it feel like it’s in the mid 90s (35 degrees Celsius).

Today’s sunrise is at 6:09 a.m., and today’s sunset is at 9:09 p.m.

Partly cloudy tonight, with lows in the upper 60s (20 degrees Celsius).

Mostly cloudy to start on Friday, then hopefully becoming partly cloudy at some point during the afternoon.  Less humid, too, with pleasant highs in the upper 70s (26 degrees Celsius).

Saturday will be a mostly sunny, spectacular summer weekend day, with highs in the low 80s (28 degrees Celsius), and comfortable humidity.

Mostly clear to partly cloudy Saturday night, with lows in the mid 60s (18 degrees Celsius).

The weekend cold front I’ve been telling you about all week long, unfortunately, still appears to be coming through on Sunday, which means we have a chance of showers and thunderstorms.  I don’t think it’ll be an all-day rain, but the storm threat exists.  I’ll try to get more specific about the timing tomorrow.  Highs should reach the low 80s (28 degrees Celsius), and you’ll notice that the humidity will be higher than on Saturday.

As for next week, expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies Monday through Wednesday, with highs in the low 80s on Monday (28 degrees Celsius), and then in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees (31-32 degrees Celsius) Tuesday and Wednesday.  It now appears that a cold front will cross the area on Thursday with a chance of thunderstorms, followed by dry and sunny weather Friday through Sunday.
