Body found in manhole on Detroit's west side identified as missing man

Friends, family had been searching for Osean Lockett since July

DETROIT – A body that was found Saturday in a manhole on Detroit's west side has been identified as a 19-year-old man who had been missing since July.

Osean Lockett's death has been ruled a homicide. His body had multiple gunshot wounds.

Family and friends had been looking for him since he disappeared July 6.

His body was discovered at Chalfonte and Steel streets by Water and Sewage Department employees who were doing regular maintenance.
