FERNDALE, Mich. – Ferndale police arrested 42 year old Gerald Brent Gresham for eavesdropping.
His arrest happened May 22 after police received a call from a passerby who saw a person in the bushes near a house on Ardmore. When officers arrived they found Gresham alongside the wall near bushes at the home with a video camera in his hand. He admitted to officers he was looking through the window to watch a 34-year-old woman. The investigation revealed he had been in her yard spying on and off for at least a month.

Gresham is a teacher at Hamtramck High School where the victim is the principal. Gresham has reported tried to convince the woman to date him but she told police she repeatedly rejected his advances.
Eavesdropping is a felony and carries a prison sentence of up to 2 years.
