DETROIT – Turkia Mullin was scheduled to provide testimony Monday in the Davis v. Airport case which accuses the Wayne County Airport Authority of violating the Open Meetings Act during the interview process for the CEO position.
Mullin obtained the CEO position after a 7-0 vote. Robert Davis filed the lawsuit claiming Mullin's hiring was done due to a flawed interview process.

However, a judge decided Friday that Mullin and her former colleague's, who Davis also subpoenaed, will not have to be deposed Monday. The judge said that Mullin and others should only be required to testify about disputed facts concerning the interview process. The judge said there are not enough facts in dispute and Mullin's testimony would not assist the judge in deciding whether the Open Meetings Act was violated.
The hearing on whether the Open Meetings Act was violated is scheduled for Dec. 16.
Mullin was fired from her CEO position amid her involvement in an ongoing Wayne County severance scandal which the FBI is investigating.
