Family remembers fallen officer on anniversary of his death

FENTON - Family members came together Monday evening in Fenton to honor fallen West Bloomfield Police Officer Patrick O'Rourke. They launched lanterns into the sky in remembrance of O'Rourke.

Officer O'Rourke was killed in the line of duty exactly one year ago while investigating a "shots fired" complaint on Forest Edge in West Bloomfield Township.

O'Rourke was a twelve year veteran of the West Bloomfield Township Police Department.

He is survived by his wife and four children.
