The deputies were directed to a house in the 100 block of University Drive. The vehicle was in the driveway and the 34-year-old suspect, a resident of St. Louis, was found inside the house.

A police officer from St. Ann, Missouri, said the vehicle was involved in a pursuit that ended because of high speeds.

The suspect was on parole out of the Michigan Department of Corrections, but the parole had been transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections.

The incident remains under investigation.
