A 44-year-old man is charged with failing to disclose that he is HIV positive to multiple partners.
According to the Genesee County Health Department, Johnnie Peters did not reveal his HIV status to sexual partners, which is a felony offense in Michigan.
A warrant was signed in court, Monday, charging 44-year-old Johnnie Peters with two felony counts - AIDS - sexual penetration with an uninformed partner.
The allegation is Peters had unprotected sex with at least two men, one in 2007 and one in 2010, and did not inform them he was HIV positive.
The Health Department is investigating the allegations and trying to track down any potential victims and encourage them to get tested.
The situation is considered an extremely serious public health concern.
