Shots fired at Greyhound bus station near Downtown Detroit

DETROIT – Shots were fired Monday afternoon at the Greyhound bus station in Detroit.

The bus station is at Howard and Sixth streets.

Detroit police had originally said a person was shot. No victim was found at the scene.

Police said the 911 call came in just after 2 p.m.

A witness said two men were arguing on a bus from Georgia and they had planned to settle their business when they reached Detroit.

“When he stepped outside the Greyhound station, that’s when all the shooting started,” Arthur Totton said. “Another day in Detroit.”

Police said there was an exchange of gunfire between three vehicles: a black newer-model Audi, a black Chevrolet Yukon and a blue Chrysler 300. The vehicles fled in unknown directions.

Several casings were collected around the location.
