Kerry Bentivolio claims primary for Michigan's 11th Congressional District

Write-in candidate Nancy Cassis unable to win 11th Congressional District

DETROIT – Kerry Bentivolio was the only name on the primary ballot Tuesday for Michigan's 11th Congressional District.

He won the District seat despite an aggressive campaign from write-in candidate Nancy Cassis.

Bentivolio had kept a low media profile since since Thaddeus McCotter's implosion. McCotter was expected to keep the position but was unable to get enough valid signatures to be on the ballot.
