Willow Run Airport closed due to aircraft incident

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Willow Run Airport was closed Wednesday after an aircraft incident, according to the FAA.
The University of Michigan Basketball team's plane attempted to take off from Willow Run Airport in high winds, and take off was aborted. Braking caused the plane to slide off the runway.

Everyone on board is safe, according to the team.
No other information was made available.
A High Wind Warning was issued for all of SE Lower Michigan.
