Cold start with subzero temperatures for Wednesday

"Feels like" temperatures will be around -20 degrees Wednesday morning

DETROIT – Good news! Winds will be relaxing and our Wind Chill Warning has been downgraded to a Wind Chill Advisory. Those feels like temps will be around -20 degrees this morning and closer to -10 through the later morning and afternoon. Expect partly cloudy skies today and highs finally climbing into the teens. There is a bit of snow south into Indiana and Ohio but it will be a miss for SE Michigan. Our Wind Chill Advisory expires at 9 AM.

The next chance for snow is late on Thursday as temps climb into the 20s. That snow will be light and may hold off until after dinner. One of our computer models hints at more of a Friday morning snow of less than 1".

We should have temps near 35 degrees Friday and warming into the 40s this Saturday. A storm on the way means we will start the weekend with some rain.  Track what's coming our way on our radar images, get the dangerous wind chills in your neighborhood, and an early look into your weekend forecast on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store.
