Sunday evening will be partly cloudy and chilly with temps back to the freezing mark.

A second cold front will cross the region Sunday night and Monday bringing even colder air for much of the week. Overnight lows will dip to the low 20s.

The rest of 2014 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) will gradually get colder with partly to mostly sunny skies. Monday's daytime temps will be near 30. Tuesday and Wednesday will have early morning lows in the teens and afternoon highs in the 20s. When spectators gather to watch the "D" drop in Campus Martius in downtown Detroit, Temps will be in the low 20s, and the first day of 2015, Thursday, will be cold but partly sunny with highs in the upper 20s.

December 2014 will go down in history as Detroit's second least snowy December in recorded history.
