Woman killed crossing street in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A 60-year-old woman from Illinois was killed as she was crossing a street in Ann Arbor.
It happened on Plymouth Road, between Green Road and US-23, just after 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 11. According to authorities , a woman was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man from Ann Arbor.
The driver, police said, remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation.
The woman was rushed to the University of Michigan Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ann Arbor Police Department at 734-794-6939.
