A Sept. 22, 2025, crash closed a stretch of I-94 in Ann Arbor. (WDIV)ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A large commercial truck crash closed a stretch of I-94 in Ann Arbor for the third time this month.
Just two weeks after a semi truck crashed and spilled hundreds of glass bottles across I-94 at Jackson Avenue, followed by another semi truck crash that caused steel coils to bounce across the highway at the same spot, a gravel hauler jackknifed on eastbound I-94 and rolled over at about 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 22.
Authorities said it happened within 100 feet of the prior crash.
The driver was extricated from the cab with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
The gravel hauler’s trailers were empty and no other vehicles were involved.
The westbound lanes of I-94 reopened shortly after noon, but the eastbound lanes remain closed.
