ANN ARBOR, Mich. – For the second time this week, a semi truck crash closed a stretch of I-94 in Ann Arbor.
The day after a semi truck crashed and spilled hundreds of glass bottles across I-94 at Jackson Avenue , another semi truck crashed in the same place. This time, steel coils came loose and bounced across the highway.
The coils did not hit any other vehicle on the road.
A Sept. 3, 2025, semi truck crash closed a stretch of I-94 in Ann Arbor. (WDIV) According to authorities, an eastbound semi truck jackknifed Wednesday evening, Sept. 3, and drove off the shoulder. The driver was seriously injured, but is expected to survive.
The eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed for several hours for cleanup, eventually opening to normal traffic Thursday morning, Sept. 4.
