DETROIT – Looking for work as a Lyft driver but don’t have a vehicle?
GM’s Lyft Express Drive program is up and running in metro Detroit. People interested in driving for Lyft but don’t have a car, or don’t want to use their personal car, can rent a GM vehicle to join the ride-sharing service.

The program offers low cost lease options for vehicles. As an incentive for drivers who complete 50 or more trips a week, the rental cost of the vehicle will be waived.
The Lyft Express Drive program includes the Chevrolet Cruze, Trax, Malibu, Impala, Equinox and GMC Terrain for drivers to get around, collect money and generate income.
GM said there are over 350 Detroit Express Drive members, and one in every four Lyft rides in Detroit are provided by an Express Drive vehicle.
