WDIV-TV (Local 4), Detroit is seeking a Creative Services Intern to support the station’s marketing and promotions team.
This hands-on internship offers students real-world experience in broadcast marketing, promotional writing, and digital media production. Interns assist with promotional campaigns, marketing materials, social media content, and community outreach initiatives. Projects may also include marketing support for the station’s Go 4 It monthly events and other station promotions.
Interns will collaborate with teams across the station including News, Digital, Programming, and Production while learning how broadcast marketing campaigns are developed and executed.
What you’ll do
- Assist with writing and producing promotional campaigns and marketing materials.
- Help create social media and digital marketing content.
- Support community outreach events and station promotions.
- Assist the Creative Services team with production and marketing projects.
- Participate in brainstorming and creative campaign development.
Internship details
- Duration: Up to 12 weeks
- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
- Location: Onsite in Detroit, Michigan
- Academic credit: Internship must be completed for college credit
Eligibility requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- All candidates must be available to work up to 20 hours per week, with a minimum of 18 hours, on a Monday–Sunday schedule. Specific days and times, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, will be set by your supervisor.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university with sophomore standing or higher
- Be pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, broadcasting, marketing, media studies, or related field
- Be eligible to receive academic credit and provide verification from their university
- Able to have reliable transportation to/from work.
