Newborn baby dies after being mauled by family dog in Novi

NOVI, Mich. – A newborn baby girl was mauled to death by a dog in Novi Tuesday morning.

The attack happened at a home near Novi and 13 Mile roads on March 17 at around 8:30 a.m.

A source told Local 4 the family found the infant with injuries consistent with a dog mauling. The baby died from her injuries.

It’s believed the dog belonged to the family and was put down.
