DETROIT – They're called the Tree Musketeers, and they come to the rescue.
Chad Fox, who owns Professional Tree Service out of Jackson, was a long way from home, tackling a job on Detroit's west side.
"It's good. Feels good to help out," Fox said.
Mark Watson, who owns Mark's Tree Service, was there with his son, who was cutting down his first tree.
The two rival tree services teamed up to take down dangerous trees in Brightmoor. The job is expensive, but they're doing it for free.
The job is important, as the trees could fall on an elderly man's home.
It was all this orchestrated by Lori Mac and Jenny Misiak, both of Jenny's Tree Service in Warren.
"These guys are putting their lives at risk to do these trees," Mac said.
"If everybody pitched in a little bit, we'd be in better shape," Misiak said.
Mac and Misiak named their group the Tree Musketeers. Formed last spring, they now have a logo and a volunteer made them shirts.
With the weather changing, their timing couldn't be better, getting tree services to donate their efforts for older folks or people who are sick, who can't afford to hire a tree service, but have a tree hanging over their home.
Anyone who knows someone in need, in need of the Tree Musketeers, can message them on their Facebook page.
