DETROIT – Sweepstakes scammers are moving in, trying to rip you off, according to a Detroit couple who thought they had struck it rich but then called Local 4 to investigate their supposed lottery winnings, only to learn it was a hoax.
The Eubanks family thought they had won big after they received a letter from Publishers Clearing House stating they had won $750,000.
But in order for them to win the mega prize, they must first pay $8,900,40 to cover the taxes. (Copyright 2025 by WDIV ClickOnDetroit - All rights reserved.)
