DEARBORN, Mich. – A pint-sized star from Michigan continues to climb her way up the viral video ranks -- she's just been named 2014 "Queen of Vine" by Internet giant Buzzfeed.
Local 4 first met Ryan in 2013 at the tender age of three. Her six-second wit and wisdom on Vine racked up 100,000 followers.
Fast forward to this year, the now-5-year-old has close to 1 million followers.
"We still can't wrap our heads around it," said Ava's mom, Katie. "I just think people can identify with this little person who just says things they're thinking."
Her parents say everything that's recorded is 100 percent Ava.
"Pretty much every day is surprise with her," said her dad, Daniel. "She's not scripted, we don't tell her what to say. She is completely off the cuff. I mean we can't make this stuff up."
Now that Ava and her family are one of the top Vine videographers, the new year has brought new opportunities.
"Because we have so many followers now, we're able to do ads on Vine for companies now," said Katie Ryan. "They're fun. They're six seconds and whatever we make goes into Ava's college fund."

Ava's vines have become so famous that a Phantom of the Opera performance group recreated her hits in a "best of" video on YouTube.
"We started our own YouTube channel," said Katie Ryan. "We make mini movies. It's so much fun for us to do something longer than just six seconds. All we do is record our playful adventures and I get to edit it and piece it together, which is something I've always loved doing."
While she may have been big in 2014 -- clearly 2015 will bring even more fun.
