Taylor Swift made her debut on the “New Heights” podcast last night, joining boyfriend Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce for a much-anticipated conversation.
The episode dropped at 7 p.m. ET, and Swift used the moment to unveil the cover art, full track list, and release date for her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, set for release Oct. 3.
“And, baby, that’s show business for you,” she wrote on social media alongside the announcement.
During the recording, Swift opened a briefcase to reveal the album artwork — previously teased but blurred in a video the day before — telling the hosts, “This is my brand new album.”
The tracklist includes:
- The Fate of Ophelia
- Elizabeth Taylor
- Opalite
- Father Figure
- Eldest Daughter
- Ruin the Friendship
- Actually Romantic
- Wi$h Li$t
- Wood
- CANCELLED!
- Honey
- The Life of a Showgirl (feat. Sabrina Carpenter)
The reveal capped off a carefully choreographed rollout. On Aug. 12, Swift’s website featured a countdown clock that hit zero at 12:12 a.m. ET, revealing the new project.
Before the official announcement, fans spotted clues, including a mint-green rectangle with an orange lock on her site, which quickly became her social media profile image.
“The Life of a Showgirl” follows last year’s “The Tortured Poets Department,” announced during the 2024 Grammys and released during her record-breaking tour, which raked in over $2.2 billion across two years and five continents, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.
The album is also Swift’s first release since she regained control over her entire body of work.
In May, the pop star said she purchased her catalog of recordings — originally released through Big Machine Records — from their most recent owner, the private equity firm Shamrock Capital. She did not disclose the amount paid.
