Insider Poll: How long is too long to leave pizza out?

We’ve got a cheesy question to ask you.

How long is it okay to leave pizza out before it becomes too old to eat? And we’re not talking about throwing it in the fridge. We’re talking about that pizza you leave on the counter, for however long, grabbing slices every hour or so. How long do you let this carry on?

Dr. Frank McGeorge put this to the test in a story airing on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. on Local 4 -- he partnered with some local scientists to figure out what happens to pizza if you leave it out, and how long you can leave it out before it becomes, well, gross.
