Students may have been exposed to chickenpox at robotics competition Michigan Department of Community Health warns parents to watch for symptoms No description found
YPSILANTI, Mich. – The state department of health says high schoolers who recently participated in a robotics competition at Eastern Michigan University may have been exposed to chickenpox.
The event was held two weeks ago from April 10-12, but health officials said symptoms don't normally show up for another 10 to 21 days after exposure.
There were 64 teams from high schools throughout Michigan. Some of the teams may have included middle or junior high school students.
Parents should watch for symptoms and contact their doctor if necessary.
