Go 4 It: Local 4 collecting sports equipment donations today in Detroit -- what to bring and where
Program in need of new sporting equipment
Local 4 is collecting donations for the Detroit Police Athletic League. (WDIV)DETROIT – The Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) works to enrich the lives of children through sports and character development.
PAL provides sports programming to thousands of children across Metro Detroit. To help PAL’s mission and promote July’s Go 4 It: Fit For Life event along the Detroit River, Local 4 is collecting donations of new sporting equipment for PAL at Cullen Plaza.
The collection event will take place July 23 at Cullen Plaza, just off Atwater Street in Detroit, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The program is in need of the following NEW sporting equipment.
Soccer balls -- sizes 3, 4 and 5
Diamond, Wilson or Rawlings high school baseballs and T-balls.
Volleyballs (women’s indoor)
New youth/junior hockey equipment
Softballs -- 11 and 12-inch
Pro Mark SoftballsOfficial
Softball bats -- Various lengths, 34″-27″
Footballs for flag football
