The American Heart Association is expanding its efforts to promote CPR education and awareness due to the high mortality rate of cardiac arrest cases outside hospitals, where bystander CPR is often not performed. Through the Heart Walk, the Association’s largest community initiative, they aim to increase CPR training accessibility, improve bystander preparedness, and support funding for crucial research to combat cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death in Washtenaw County.
Participants can register for the Heart Walk here.
By participating and donating, individuals support the American Heart Association’s mission to reduce deaths from stroke and heart disease, funding CPR training, research, and lifesaving initiatives.
