My name is Nicole. Almost a year ago on July 28 my fiancé and I were found in a car on Greenfield Road. We were sober for 7 years and when we ran into someone named "Robert" he gave us a sample right away. It's pretty hard to say no when it's literally given to you.
Well, I woke up the next day in Sinai-Grace Hospital. The first thing the doctor said to me was, "The young man you were with didn't make it."
My heart sunk. We were in that car for 5 hours before a random ambulance drove by and saw us. My fiancé was dead on the scene. We were together 12 years, living the life on Walled Lake with our 5-year-old daughter.
This can happen to anyone of any background, any education level, any income bracket you fall in.
