After state police reviewed security footage of the robbery, Almont police contacted troopers, saying they were investigating a different larceny case involving a similar suspect and car. Police confirmed the Shelby Township man was allegedly involved in both crimes.

On April 30, police executed a search warrant at a Shelby Township home and found the stolen property as well as a stolen gun hidden in the basement ceiling.

The man was already arrested on unrelated charges, police said, and the case will be submitted to the prosecutor’s office for review.
