MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Shelby Township man broke into a church and stole a computer and a leaf blower, police said.
Michigan State Police said a 33-year-old man from Shelby Township allegedly broke into a church in Bruce Township on April 13 and stole an Apple Mac mini computer and a leaf blower.

After state police reviewed security footage of the robbery, Almont police contacted troopers, saying they were investigating a different larceny case involving a similar suspect and car. Police confirmed the Shelby Township man was allegedly involved in both crimes.
On April 30, police executed a search warrant at a Shelby Township home and found the stolen property as well as a stolen gun hidden in the basement ceiling.
The man was already arrested on unrelated charges, police said, and the case will be submitted to the prosecutor’s office for review.
