Detroit's extreme pumpkin carver is here to show us how he creates his spooky designs.
If you go to the Detroit Zoo, Tom Nardone, the extreme pumpkin carver, will shock you.
Tom puts on an amazing show where he carves, smashes, decorates, and burns pumpkins, and the results are impressive.
At 11.25 seconds, Tom set a new Guinness Book Of World Records blowing the old one out of the water. Tom also invented the pumpkin thumper so he can now carve a pumpkin in less than one second.
Tom says is favorite part about pumpkin carving is all the pumpkins he can smash.
Best of all you can get your pumpkins to look just like Tom's with one special trick. All you have to do is get a dry erase marker, draw your design, carve the pumpkin, and wipe off the outline of the dry erase marker. No more using sharpies.
If you want to see Tom, stop by Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays this October. Get your tickets online www.detroitzoo.org.
