Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day and find your new fur baby at this fun event

It’s a ‘St. Pitty’s Day’ celebration!

Thursday is St. Patrick’s Day, and there is a special week-long event already underway to celebrate for folks looking to adopt a pet.

Michigan Humane is throwing a pet adoption party called the St. Pitty’s Adoption Event.

The organization is waiving the adoption fee for pit bulls in its center, as long as you come in wearing green. The event runs from March 14 to 20 at all of Michigan Humane’s adoption centers.

If you are looking for a smaller pet, consider Curtis, the guinea pig.

He is our current Pet of the Week, and would be a great fit for a home with some guinea pig experience. If you’ve never had a guinea pig before, Michigan Humane can walk you through how to properly care for one.

Curtis also has no adoption fees, as the Mike Morse Law Firm covers all adoption fees for the Pet of the Week.
