Detroit singer gets international recognition

Lay’na Michelle is a singer from Detroit, but she’s finding success with her albums in the United Kingdom. In fact, both of her albums have been streamed more than 400,000 times. It’s something that’s led to recognition overseas. Michelle sat down with “Live In The D” host Tati Amare to talk about her success.

“Just to know that people outside of not only Michigan, but the United States are actually listening to me! I’m so thankful“, said Michelle.

Michelle also shared about the recent opportunity to open up for R&B singer Jon B. at Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel. She said it was amazing to see the crowd there responding to her music, and she even shared a story about getting to sing for Jon B. back stage.
