As the weather cools, hearty dishes at this Royal Oak spot heat up

There are years of history behind this Italian cuisine

From the classic décor, to the traditional Italian dishes, when you enter D’Amatos restaurant you can sense the history. Owner Tony Prainito said, “You feel like you’re at home. The smells that you smell, some of the dishes on the menu are my mom’s recipes.”

The restaurant has been in its Downtown Royal Oak location for 25 years, and has created many memories for those in the community. “We’ve had baby showers, 1st birthday parties, everything,” Prainito said. He said for those looking for a more nightlife vibe, the attached bar Goodnite Gracie offers a lounge type experience with a full bar, food, and live music and entertainment.
