Gilda’s Club Detroit provides a community of support

A special club is offering help and hope for people as they battle cancer.

Gilda’s Club is a cancer support community that was inspired by comedian and Detroiter Gildna Radner. Known for being one of the original cast members of “Saturday Night Live”, Radner died in 1989 after her own battle with cancer.

Gilda’s Club offers support groups that are led by mental health clinicians. There are also healthy lifestyle activities and social gatherings.

Gilda’s Club has three locations, which are in Royal Oak, St. Clair Shores, and Detroit.
