This artist is turning his grief into “Country Hop and Roll”

Louie Lee gives a preview performance of his upcoming project release

Detroit artist, Louie Lee, is making an impact on the music scene. He is known for bringing his raw emotion, honest storytelling, along with his signature sound that combines soul hip-hop, and R&B. Lee joined “Live in the D” for Music Monday to share his story.

“Three years ago, I started doing Louie Lee full time and it started as a therapy for myself…It started from grief, I lost a lot of people during Covid, and I just wanted to honor them in the best way I could,” Lee said.

Lee remains dedicated to sharing his journey of healing and growth through music turning his pain into purpose. He also has upcoming shows happening all over Michigan this summer.

“Were going to be all over Michigan from Romulus, to Brighton, Bellville, and Lake Orion and I’m very blessed to say that this is only three years in…We are just so grateful,” Lee said.
