The Berkley Street Art Fest is set to return this weekend, showcasing bold and colorful chalk creations.
Festival goers can watch art being created in the streets of downtown Berkley during the chalk art competition.
“There’s things to watch, things to do, and actually get involved in,” said Darlene Rothman with the Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce.
Artist Daniel Cascardo is behind an interactive component of the festival that will get visitors to channel their artistic side. Attendees can take part in the Art Action Experience by adding some color to a group painting.
“I invited people to come and add colors, patterns, and shapes to the black and white design,” Cascardo explained.
The fun at the festival goes beyond art. There will also be a culinary corridor and beer garden on hand.
The Berkley Street Art Fest is taking place from 11 am. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 12th.
