Michigan restaurants can reopen indoor dining Feb. 1

Investigators share key pieces of evidence they found on day Danielle Stislicki disappeared
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – It’s been nearly four years since Danielle Stislicki disappeared, and Local 4 spoke one-on-one with investigators of the case about some key pieces of evidence they found that day. King is the Farmington Hills police chief now, but four years ago, he was one of the first investigators to arrive at Danielle’s Farmington Hills apartment. Jessica Perry, Danielle’s cousin, said they are just a few years apart in age and they grew up together. Michigan dog who has a knack for finding lost money donates to Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit
BERKLEY, Mich. – A 15-year-old dachshund named Jake Truett who was born in Michigan is using his ability to sniff out cash to raise money for Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit. His family is donating Jake’s money, a $250.08 in total, to Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit. The gift is the first of the Jake Project. The Jake Project hopes to get at least 100 matching donations of $250.08. The Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit is working to raise the final $3.5 million to complete construction of its new intake facility.

Community comes together to support family of young man fatally beaten after crash in Detroit
BERKLEY, Mich. - A community came together Tuesday night to honor a 24-year-old man who was beaten to death after a car crash in Detroit. Tyler Wingate was a Berkley native and the community is putting up white ribbons to honor the young man after he met a violent end. Family reunited with puppy at center of Berkley dog shelter investigation
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. It has been a week of highs and terrible lows for the Berg family after they adopted a springer spaniel puppy from No Dog Left Behind Rescue in Berkley. The Berg family took the puppy to a veterinarian the next morning and the puppy, Cinnamon, tested positive for parvovirus. A second puppy adopted from No Dog Left Behind tested positive for parvovirus. Cinnamon was saved and able to go home with the Berg family Wednesday night. No Dog Left Behind Rescue is now being investigated by Michigan State and Berkley police.
