Maternity or Eternity: Versatile maternity fashion

Local 4 Lifestyle Editor showcases convertible maternity clothing for lasting fashion

In case you didn’t know, “Live in the D” co-host, Kim Degiulio is expecting - like, very soon. She’s made the most of her wardrobe with maternity-specific clothing options but has also been able to wear some regular items from her closet that have a stretch factor.

Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan joined “Live in the D” to expand on the topic of versatile maternity fashion.

“People with great style know how to think and repurpose things,” Jordan said.

Jordan collaborated with owners of Shops on Top, Deron & Tina Washington, to create convertible outfits that can instantly transition from maternity to eternity.

Models showcased this concept with stylish, adaptable pieces.

First up was Tammy, who wore a wrapped waistband skirt - a detail popular in high-waisted garments across skirts, pants, and even menswear runways. But this skirt was actually a dress. (The model raised the skirt into dress mode.)
