Free Ice Cream for a great cause

10,000 scoop challenge will benefit Michigan charity

On Wednesday Cadillac Square Park was filled with people looking to score a free Moose Tracks ice cream cone, and it was all for a great cause. “This is the 10,000 scoop challenge and the challenge is we need to scoop 10,000 in four hours,” said Caroline Winternheimer with Moose Tracks Ice Cream. She said for each scoop they are donating $1 to the Salvation Army of Metro Detroit. “During Christmas time they have the bell ringers, but in the summer, people need lunches and meals, we can help so many people with this,” Winternheimer said.

Live in the D’s April Morton was there live. Click the video above to see the entire segment.

The free Moose Tracks ice cream social at Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit ends at 3pm.
