New seafood spot opens in Sylvan Lake

Lost Sailor Fish & Gourmet offers oysters and more

Seafood lovers can celebrate on August 5th because it’s National Oyster Day. Lost Sailor Fish & Gourmet is a new seafood market and eatery in Sylvan Lake.

“Oysters I just think are incredible. I don’t think they’re giving enough respect in this world,” explained owner David Kraus. “There’s lovers and there’s people that are just kind of scared of it maybe,” he added.

During an appearance on “Live In The D”, Kraus highlighted that oysters are a high source of protein, Zinc, B12, and Omega 3s.

The menu at Lost Sailor Fish and Gourmet includes both fresh seafood and prepared foods. In addition to carry-out, Lost Sailor also has a dine-in option.

The business’ name is inspired by a Grateful Dead song, Kraus explained.
