Men don’t have to shell out a lot of cash or make a commitment when it comes to keeping up with coloring their hair and beard.
Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan demonstrated some temporary color products for touch-ups on actor, model, and friend of the show Mark Savedes.
Jon explained that Mark has grown his hair longer, and he regularly has his hair professionally colored. Mark also typically wears stubble. However, Jon said there’s a disconnect between the color of his hair and beard. That’s where Jon stepped in with a solution.
Jon applied a temporary eyebrow dye to color Mark’s facial hair to hide the gray.
“It’s just called Precise (Eye) Brows, but you could use mascara. You could use root touch-up. It’s all basically the same formula,” Jon said.
If you dye your hair too dark, you can use a white pencil to go over and put a little salt and pepper back in, Jon explained. He also used an iridescent, white hair paste on Mark to show the effects.
“Something like this, you can just continuously add and build up the color so that as your gray grows out, it integrates easier,” Jon said.
