Macomb County is hosting its annual HarvestFest Saturday, Oct. 18th and Sunday, Oct. 19th from noon until 5 p.m. Enjoy more than two dozen trick-or-treating stations, live entertainment, food trucks, a petting zoo, inflatables, and fun activities for the whole family. The event will be taking place at Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights.
Experience a cultural celebration with TeMaTe Institute for Black Dance and Culture, which is holding Rhythms of Life and Legacy. The event will consist of dance workshops and performances. Connect with African diaspora, vendor markets, and more Saturday, Oct. 18th and Sunday, Oct. 19th. Workshops will be held at the Andy on Fenkell Avenue, with performances at the Detroit School of Art Ford Theater on Selden Street.
You can celebrate an organization that’s had a huge impact on the city. The Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) is celebrating 70 years of serving the community. The event takes place Friday, Oct. 17th at 6 p.m. at the MotorCity Casino Ballroom. Guests are encouraged to wear 70’s inspired attire and can expect to see a live performance by Grammy-nominated gospel artist, J Moss.
