Reba McEntire and “Happy’s Place” are returning for season 2. Stars Belissa Escobedo and Melissa Peterman joined Live in the D for a glimpse of what viewers can expect.
For those who have not seen season 1, Peterman gave a quick synopsis. “Bobbie, that’s who Reba McEntire plays, inherits her father’s tavern. As they read through the will, she finds out she has a half-sister, played by Belissa, and it’s a workplace comedy that takes place at Happy’s Place, the tavern.”
Escobedo, who plays McEntire’s sister on the show adds, the show is about a community of people who are thrown together, and they make it work as they create their own family. They admit - it also causes drama.
The first episode of the new season premieres Friday night at 8 p.m. on local 4.
