With the holiday rush in full swing, Peter Marks Salon co-owner Pjeter Nuculaj brought fast, polished hairstyles to Live in the D, showing viewers how to elevate party looks without spending hours in front of a mirror.
Nuculaj demonstrated two quick styles: a sleek, mid-height pony flipped into a topsy-tail and pinned for an easy updo, and a center-part ponytail trick that hides elastics and adds volume, finished with a statement bow — a nod to the season’s accessory trend.
“Wear what looks good on you, wear what makes you feel good,” Nuculaj said.
He also shared winter hair-care recommendations, favoring a featherlight hairspray from R+Co Bleu for hold without stiffness, a restorative night cream to boost shine and strength while you sleep, and a heat-protective detangling mist — especially helpful for color-treated hair in cold, dry weather.
Nuculaj and his wife, Jacky, are marking one year in business at their salon inside a restored 1936 building in downtown Clawson, just south of 14 Mile on Main Street.
