Oakland County man sentenced for spraying lotion on woman he found attractive

TROY, Mich. – An Oakland County man has been sentenced for spraying lotion on a woman in Troy.

It happened July 2, 2025, at a gas station on Big Beaver Road, just west of I-75.

According to authorities, Ian Matthew Johnson sprayed lotion on a woman’s back because he found her attractive.

Johnson reportedly admitted to spraying lotion on the woman in Troy for self-satisfaction, leading to a second fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.

Johnson pleaded no contest to fought-degree criminal sexual conduct charge, leading to the dismissal of an aggravated assault charge.

On Jan. 30, Johnson was sentenced to 24 days in jail with 24 days credit, effectively serving time already spent. He was also sentenced to six months’ probation.
