This Brighton restaurant is known for its wild game Brighton's Canopy Lounge offers a taste of the wild
Get ready to take a walk on the wild side. A restaurant in downtown Brighton known for its wild game dishes, also pays homage to its namesake.
The Canopy Lounge also gives you cozy, northern Michigan vibes. “We want you to feel like you’re in your living room but almost like a cabin up north where you don’t feel like you’re in the hustle and bustle of everyday life,” said Bill Opre, Owner of the Canopy Lounge.
The restaurant honors another venue with the same name - that was popular in the area decades ago. “There’s a velvet painting on the wall that’s from their bar in the 60’s. We’ve got some menus on the wall from the 70’s.”
The restaurant is known for serving up wild game, like its popular venison meatloaf.
