The Detroit Lions are reportedly signing a center as free agency gets underway.
The Lions will sign former Carolina Panthers center Cade Mays to a 3-year, $25 million deal, as a potential starter on the offensive line.
Mays, 26, has started 27 games, including 20 in the past two seasons where he didn’t allow a single sack.
The Lions released both Graham Glasgow and Taylor Decker last week, and were still dealing with the retirement of Frank Ragnow.
Former Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone reportedly signed with the Bucs, and former cornerback Amik Robertson is reportedly signing with the Commanders.
The NFL Free Agency “legal tampering” period opened on Monday.
