On Live in the D, the topic of ‘office romance’ took center stage for this week’s What’s the Buzz segment. Let’s face it, no matter the job, there are some rules when it comes to workplace relationships.
Comedian and Actress T. Barb, and Jason Hall with Ride Detroit, stopped by the show to chime in on the “spicy” convo. A recent survey by EduBirdie suggests workplace romances are very common and showed that just in the past month the search “what if I like my boss,” surged 407%. “At home sometimes you might get judged a little differently for some of the stuff, so you feel more free with your work spouse,” Hall said.
T. Barb and Hall both agree with the survey that also suggested office relationships can start due to the proximity attraction. “I think that a lot of people spend eight hours plus at work, so you’re there a majority of the time, you’re talking, you’re eating lunch with your co-workers,” T Barb said.
