If you’re looking for globally influenced cuisine with Spanish influences - a restaurant on Detroit’s east side believes it has the menu for you! “I love working with Spanish cuisine. My grandfather is Spanish, so I kind of take a lot of that love that we had in my childhood,” said Kirby Rocha, Executive Chef at Antidote Detroit.
The dishes are unique, as well as the name of the restaurant, “the name Antidote is actually like a solution, a cure for basically this community. I’m from the east side, I live actually right down the street from here, and we have an invisible border down here called Alter Road that, you know, some cross and some don’t cross,” said the Owner of Antidote, Nya Marshall. She said she’s all about bridging communities, like the Grosse Pointes, and Detroit.
The restaurant, which opened in early January of this year, has an open, vibrant decor that’s quite welcoming
Antidote Detroit is located at 14628 East Jefferson, Detroit.
