After a car accident, most people don’t know where to start. Lawrence Kajy, CEO of Kajy Law Firm, says getting the police report is step one - and his firm now wants to make that easier.
“We’re providing a new service where we’re going to be obtaining police reports for you for free,” Kajy said. “If you’re involved in a car accident, you can call us and give us the report number and we’ll get some basic information. We’ll pull the police report for you.”
Kajy said the document can be critical, especially when fault is disputed. “What if they put you at fault when you weren’t at fault and you could dispute it later on?”
Beyond post-accident support, the firm is also focused on prevention. Kajy has partnered with Motor City Driving Academy to give away one free driving lesson every week to a teen driver.
“We’ve seen so many car accidents where we think that accident could have been prevented with proper education and proper training,” he said. “The point is to hopefully invest in teen drivers to make the city safer driving and less accidents in the future, make the whole community safer.”

This Saturday, Kajy Law Firm will host its annual car seat giveaway, distributing 100 Graco Contender Slim car seats to lucky winners.
“I purchased 100 car seats and we’re giving them away this Saturday,” Kajy said. “We’re going to select 100 lucky winners to come and pick up a car seat.”
Kajy said the seat was a personal choice. “This is the same car seat that my kids were in. This is a Graco Contender Slim.”
