2 men wanted for robbery, shooting of Family Dollar clerk in Detroit

Video shows men pointing guns at woman behind counter

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for two men wanted in an armed robbery and shooting at a Family Dollar store on the city's east side.

Police said the men walked into the store around 6:45 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 15200 block of East Warren Avenue.

The men approached a 29-year-old woman working behind the counter. They pointed a gun at her head and demanded money from the register. Police said the woman complied, and one of the men fired a shot, striking the woman.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the cash register, police said.

The woman's neck was grazed by the bullet, but her injuries aren't considered life-threatening, police said.
